India-based airline IndiGo has been named ‘Partner of the Year’ at the Changi Airline Awards (CAA) 2025. Since launching its Singapore services in 2011, IndiGo has become Changi’s fifth-largest foreign carrier by passenger traffic. Other notable winners at the awards include Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Cathay Pacific, and Jetstar Asia Airways.
The Changi Airline Awards honor airlines and aviation partners that contribute to the success of Changi Airport. The awards cover several categories, such as top airlines for passenger and cargo carriage, growth, marketing, and the prestigious Partner of the Year title.
IndiGo’s Growth and Contribution to India-Singapore Connectivity
IndiGo has seen a 53% increase in traffic compared to pre-COVID levels, currently operating 75 weekly flights between India and Singapore. The Lion City is IndiGo’s third-largest international destination, with flights from nine Indian cities, including Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Tiruchirappalli.
In 2024, the airline experienced a 64% rise in passenger traffic, carrying over 1 million passengers to and through Changi Airport.
Expanding Reach through Codeshare Partnerships
IndiGo also leverages its codeshare partnership with Qantas to connect India and Australia via Changi Airport. “Our collaboration with Changi Airport has been instrumental in increasing traffic not only between India and Singapore but also to other destinations,” said Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo.
