Lufthansa Group Reveals Winter 2025/26 Flight Schedule

by Grace

The Lufthansa Group, encompassing its passenger airlines Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, and Discover Airlines, has released its winter flight schedule for 2025/26. The new schedule, effective from October 26, 2025, is now open for bookings across all destinations.

Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering a “stable, punctual, and reliable flight schedule” throughout the winter season, especially during the busy Christmas holidays. Vranckx also highlighted the introduction of the expanded Allegris premium cabin offering on Lufthansa flights, describing it as a “significant upgrade” across key markets.

Lufthansa’s Winter Highlights

For the 2025/26 winter season, Lufthansa plans to increase its long-haul flights featuring the new Allegris cabin across all classes — Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class. From October 26, daily flights from Munich will connect passengers to major global hubs, including New York (JFK and Newark), Chicago, Miami, Shanghai, Cape Town, and Tokyo. Additionally, Bengaluru will be served three times weekly, marking the broadest deployment of the Allegris cabin to date. Passengers booked on these routes can look forward to experiencing the new seating.

Currently, Lufthansa operates ten Airbus A350-900 aircraft equipped with the Allegris cabin, already praised by more than half a million passengers with satisfaction rates nearing 100%. The airline also plans to introduce Allegris interiors on Boeing 787-9 aircraft at Frankfurt Airport this winter and will begin retrofitting its existing Boeing 747-8 fleet.

Due to strong demand, Lufthansa will continue its winter flights from Frankfurt to Bydgoszcz (Poland) and from Munich to Oradea (Romania), routes introduced during the summer 2025 schedule. The iconic Airbus A380 will operate from Munich to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Bangkok, and Delhi — a favorite among travelers and crew alike.

Updates from Lufthansa Group Airlines

Austrian Airlines will launch Amsterdam as a fourth destination from Innsbruck this winter, complementing existing flights to Brussels, Warsaw, and Copenhagen. The airline will also expand services from Vienna to Bangkok, increasing to two daily flights. Additionally, Austrian Airlines will relocate its Milan flights from Malpensa to the more centrally located Linate Airport starting October 26, 2025, following the acquisition of ITA Airways’ slots. This change significantly reduces travel time to Milan’s city center.

SWISS is broadening its network with additional flights to Krakow, Poland. It will continue serving Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Košice (Slovakia) from Zurich, destinations introduced last winter. Long-haul service to Washington D.C. from Zurich remains active. From Geneva, SWISS will prioritize connections to the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia, catering especially to winter sports travelers.

Brussels Airlines will strengthen its position as the Lufthansa Group’s “Africa expert” by adding weekly flights to Lomé (Togo), Dakar (Senegal), Conakry (Guinea), Monrovia (Liberia), Accra (Ghana), and Freetown (Sierra Leone).

Eurowings, Germany’s largest leisure airline, will launch a new thrice-weekly direct route from Berlin to Abu Dhabi in November 2025. Alongside its growing long-distance network from Berlin, which includes Dubai and Jeddah, Eurowings will increase Berlin-Dubai flights from seven to eleven per week. Hanover will receive its first direct connection to Dubai with three weekly flights starting November 4. Stuttgart will also gain a new twice-weekly link to Jeddah. Eurowings is further expanding its Egypt routes by adding Marsa Alam to its winter schedule, served from Cologne, Hamburg, and Berlin.

Discover Airlines will introduce two new long-haul destinations from Frankfurt: the Seychelles for the first time, and Alta in Norway. Munich passengers will have access to the only direct flight to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic operated by Discover Airlines.
