Kani Payments, a leader in reporting, reconciliation, and compliance software, has entered into a strategic partnership with UK-based travel paytech company Swiipr. The collaboration aims to boost Swiipr’s back-office scalability and facilitate the platform’s expansion, supporting the development of new infrastructure as Swiipr continues to partner with major airlines globally.
Swiipr, a global payments platform, enables airlines and ground handlers to issue real-time flight delay compensation and operational payments directly to passengers’ and airline staff’s phones and wallets. The platform has already served passengers from over 137 airlines in 76 countries, across more than 200 airports.
As Swiipr scales its operations to meet increasing demand, the company will leverage Kani Payments’ solutions to automate data reconciliation and reporting processes across its network. Kani’s platform streamlines the consolidation of multi-source payment data into a unified view, allowing for seamless analysis. Additionally, bespoke reporting capabilities provide customized insights for each airline partner.
Tara Spielhagen, CEO of Swiipr, emphasized the significance of the partnership: “As we expand our services to major airlines globally, having Kani’s expertise in data management is crucial. Their specialized knowledge will enhance our ability to deliver scalable insights, drive internal reporting efficiencies, and improve customer personalization and loyalty.”
This partnership marks Kani Payments’ entry into the airline compensation sector, an area traditionally hindered by outdated systems. The collaboration follows a successful multi-million-pound Series A investment led by Maven Capital Partners.
Aaron Holmes, CEO and Founder of Kani Payments, commented on the partnership: “Our collaboration with Swiipr exemplifies Kani’s mission to empower innovative businesses through efficient data management. This partnership aligns with our growth strategy for 2025, expanding Kani’s reach into new sectors where we can deliver significant value.”
