Delta Air Lines is deepening its collaboration with Italian luxury fashion house Missoni by introducing new amenities designed to elevate the comfort of its Delta One customers.
Following the successful launch of Missoni-designed amenity kits for business class passengers last summer, Delta will now introduce Missoni-branded duvet and pillow sets on its international long-haul flights. The airline is also enhancing its in-flight bedding offerings, including an expanded mattress pad and lumbar pillow service for flights exceeding 12 hours, alongside a new memory foam cuddle pillow tailored for long-haul journeys.
The upgraded bedding collection is slated to debut on Delta One international flights this summer, with plans to extend the rollout across all Delta One services by year-end.
In addition to the bedding enhancements, Delta plans to refresh the Missoni amenity kits and introduce upgraded navy slippers featuring Missoni branding later this year. According to Delta, the redesigned kits will showcase an exclusive new pattern and color scheme inspired by the view from 35,000 feet, while honoring the airline’s 100-year legacy.
Business Traveller recently toured the newly opened Delta One lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, which showcases Missoni cushions on its outdoor terrace, reflecting the partnership’s signature style.
Mauricio Parise, Delta’s Vice President of Brand Experience, emphasized the airline’s commitment to passenger comfort:
“In travel, every moment matters – not just where you’re going, but how you get there. We want you to savor your time in the air, which is why we are intentional about each detail of the customer experience to create a sense of home in every space, instantly elevated with Missoni’s iconic, signature designs. Our new Missoni collection will help you arrive at your destination feeling refreshed and ready for the journey ahead.”
This year, Delta celebrates its centennial anniversary, marking 100 years since its origins as Huff Daland Dusters, an aerial crop dusting company that began carrying mail on March 2, 1925. To commemorate the milestone, the airline recently unveiled a new Centennial Livery on one of its A321neo aircraft.
