On June 2, Discover Airlines marked its inaugural flight from Munich Airport (MUC) to Bodø Airport (BOO) in Norway. Flight 4Y1340, operated by an Airbus A320, landed at 12:55 local time after a three-hour journey, with passengers and crew warmly welcomed upon arrival.
From June through October, Discover Airlines will operate up to two weekly direct flights between Bodø and Munich, scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays. The airline’s seamless connections through the Lufthansa Group’s Munich and Frankfurt hubs make travel to Bodø more accessible than ever.
Located 80 km north of the Arctic Circle, Bodø serves as a gateway to Norway’s stunning Lofoten archipelago. The summer and autumn months offer ideal conditions with mild temperatures and opportunities to explore fjords, white sandy beaches, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Notably, between June 4 and July 8, visitors can experience the midnight sun phenomenon, when daylight lasts for several weeks.
Driven by strong demand, Discover Airlines continues to expand its “Nordics” program. Alongside Bodø, it offers year-round flights from Frankfurt to Kittilä (Finland) and Evenes (Norway), plus Munich to Reykjavik (Iceland). In 2025, the program will add two seasonal routes: Oulu (Finland) in summer and Alta (Norway) in winter, both from Frankfurt.
