Global air services provider dnata has signed a multi-year agreement to supply inflight catering for Asiana Airlines at Václav Havel Airport in Prague. The deal marks a new partnership between the two companies as dnata continues to expand its presence in Central Europe.
Under the terms of the contract, dnata’s Czech catering team will prepare and uplift approximately 37,000 meals annually for Asiana Airlines’ thrice-weekly flights between Prague and Incheon International Airport (ICN) in South Korea.
Frantisek Sir, Managing Director of dnata Catering Czech Republic, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:
“We are proud to welcome Asiana Airlines and to be selected as its exclusive catering partner in Prague. Our experienced team will work closely with the airline to deliver expertly crafted, premium-quality meals that consistently delight passengers on board. We look forward to building a long and successful partnership.”
With the addition of Asiana Airlines, dnata now serves 18 airline clients in the Czech Republic, supported by a team of over 210 hospitality professionals. In the 2024-25 financial year alone, the company’s Czech operations prepared over 3.5 million meals for more than 17,000 flights.
Beyond its catering achievements, dnata is also advancing its sustainability efforts. The company is investing in renewable energy, electric ground support equipment (GSE), waste reduction strategies, and process optimization worldwide.
In Prague, dnata recently completed a successful trial of an electric catering truck. During the trial, the vehicle covered 730 kilometers, served 230 flights, and operated in temperatures as low as 1.6°C—demonstrating the viability of electric GSE in regular airport operations.
The new agreement with Asiana Airlines further cements dnata’s role as a leading provider of aviation catering and ground services in the region, while reinforcing its commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
