Easy Jet is introducing new flight routes from Bristol Airport, offering travelers convenient access to popular holiday destinations in Europe. Starting this week, passengers can fly directly from Bristol to Almeria in Spain’s Andalusia region and Palermo, the capital city of Sicily, Italy.
Flights to Almeria begin on June 24 and will run twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Palermo service will start two days later, on June 26, with flights scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays.
With these new additions, easyJet now operates 83 routes from Bristol Airport, connecting the city to a wide range of destinations across Europe and North Africa.
Last week, the airline also announced upcoming winter routes from Bristol to Munich, Vienna, Zurich, and Verona. To support this expansion, easyJet is adding an Airbus A320neo to its Bristol base — its 19th aircraft stationed at the airport. This newer model is up to 50% quieter and consumes 20% less fuel than the planes it replaces.
The airline expects the expansion to support approximately 400 direct and indirect jobs, contributing an estimated £27 million in UK gross value added (GVA).
