Malaysia’s AirAsia has once again been crowned the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline at the 2024 World Airline Awards, marking its 16th consecutive win in the category.
“This achievement is nothing short of incredible,” said Tony Fernandes, AirAsia’s CEO and co-founder, in a statement to CNN, reflecting on the airline’s consistent global recognition since 2010.
Trailing behind AirAsia in this year’s rankings were Scoot from Singapore in second place and IndiGo from India in third. Germany’s Eurowings secured fourth place, while Spain’s Vueling Airlines rounded out the top five.
Completing the top 10 list were Volotea, Transavia, Iberia Express, Flynas, and easyJet.
The rankings were compiled from a global survey of approximately 22.3 million airline customers, covering over 325 airlines across various service categories.
