Vietnam Airlines will begin direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Copenhagen starting December 15, marking its inaugural route to Denmark.
The airline will operate the non-stop service three times weekly using Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, offering year-round flights.
Previously, travelers between Vietnam and Denmark—around 74,800 passengers last year—relied solely on connecting flights via hubs such as Doha, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Istanbul, as reported by Sabre Market Intelligence. This new route establishes the first direct air link between the two countries.
With Copenhagen added to its network, Vietnam Airlines will serve seven European destinations, including Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Milan Malpensa, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Munich, and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
The airline anticipates the new connection will bolster economic relations between Vietnam and Denmark.
